How to stay slim? Scientists recommend turning down your central heating – Science – News – The Independent.

from my own experiences, i suspected this to be true, but now it seems someone had researched it over 10yrs study and come to the same conclusion. i think also it prevents colds too,ie reduce the chance of getting flu etc. and also reduce the severity of it if u do get it.I suspect it improves the immune system.

OK so I will sit in the refrigerator an hour every day because these diets aren’t working. I’ll let you know if successful.

lol, florida is warm most of the year. the study says you lose weight if you conform to the outside temp. so maybe no airconditioning in summer and no heating in winter will make u lose weight. it might mean because of the heat in summer u will only want to eat salads, and gazpacho, and no meat in summer, whilst in winter u may want to eat more, but it will get burnt off generating heat for your body.

This morning it is 6c -it can get down to -5 at night and it’s not been above 13c all week. I think it feels cold to me because we’ve recently moved from Indonesia. In Jakarta it would be around 34 -36 everyday and not drop below 29 at night 😀

you are bound to feel cold after indonesia. hope u got lots of fleece clothing, mufflers and gloves. u will soon get used to it, I think, and find it very bracing and we shall be seeing u slim and full of energy bounding around the place. haha. It seems to me people who live on hills are very long lived. just look at those old japanese people lliving on hills, and being active right into ripe old age.
