Dish of the Day: The customer is always right | Dan Doherty | Independent Dish of the Day Blogs.

Good morning , it is 6.32am on a wednesday and it looks very nice out there, blue sky with bits of pink stained wispy clouds.

anyway this blog post by dan makes me realise why it is ok for high end restaurants to charge so much. everyone who eats there gets to  act like a little napoleon now and then, and the restaurant staff plays along with it and humours them, as they can afford to since they charge everyone  so much. dan gets all het up about it, but really if he looks at it as his restaurant is a theatre where the customers can act up now and then, whilst other times always being able to enjoy great food, in an atmosphere where they can act like they are lords and ladies and occasionally napoleon, with the staff at their beck and call; why it makes everyone happy and he gets repeat customers.
