a sunny day in london

london

really sunny day today so i went to oxford st and selfridges and tried out the new way of posting pics. pity i could not do it like this guy here who seem to be able to post pics with the original size.

with the pics here i was hoping they would make it one frame and have the pics run like a slide show. instead they open another window and show the pics oneby one , without any way of making it run like a slideshow and there is no way of enlarging the pics to their original size.

Added I have found the help page that tells me how to do the slide. as for the size, i think i shall have to take a really large size pic and post it and see if it will keep its original size. as usual when there is a change in format, users get upset because they dont know how to use it and it is human to  blame the new design instead of themselves for not troubling to find out how to do it. i can understand why users dont want to learn new ways to do things, because it is a lot of bother. haha.

i think you are too kind. i doubt what i do can be called photography. i just aim, shoot and leaves. it appears that having a chromebook and then wordpress suddenly changing their post format, seem to make it easier to post pics.

Is this what u meant to do? On my tablet pics are very small. And what is this fasion for everyone to take photos of their shadow?

    • alifesgayventure Friday July 4, 2014 at 12:21 pm #

i am afraid that shadow shot was an accident. my camera acts up often, it will not take a pic when i press the button, or there is a delay of 2s before it takes it. so that shadow came about when i tried to take a pic of that bear statue and nothing happened or so i thought.
i dont know how to correct the time delay. in fact if i press anu more buttons the time delay is 10s. i dont even know how to make the date up to date. it is permanently on 20/11/2007. wordpress recently changed its posting format and i was trying out the photo upload. they are all small pics till u click on them. tell me what happen in your tablet. it should work in your tablet, because that is why wordpress has made all these changes to accommodate people using smartphones and tablets.
i recently found out that my camera has a sd card. more importantly i found out where it is in the camera. and there is a sd slot on my chromebook which allows me to download all the pics at once. in the past i connect the camera to my laptop using a usb cable.

Yeah u can click to make bigger pic, but can be slow on mobile internet.
I take more photos using tablet camera now, bcuz it is so instant and quality is good now.
about 6 fb people I know have made shadow pics for their profile recently. Think maybe I shd do it, but wait to later in day so I look tall and thin.

I still have computer, I just use tablet more for reading stuff. I closed down the old blog. I’m trying to make a living with travel writing and so having a blog where I get into rows with girls about how bad our bf is or put up posts about my sex life maybe wasn’tcoming over as ‘professional’.

      • alifesgayventure Friday July 4, 2014 at 2:01 pm #

oh what a pity about the blog, it isn’t all about bf rows too, but i guess it wont look good if u are embarking on a travel writing career. too personal. though for what it is worth i do wish travel writers will be more personal in their writings. i can see it wont be practical, after all personal encounters with the local inhabitants dont translate very well and you want to please the locals and visitors so no one tells of horror stories of the country they visit. even though it is much more fun to read them.

Yeah I agree. The blogs I like best are people who post just stories about what they do.

will you be doing a lot of travelling paid for by sponsors or on your own cost? i wonder whether there is a niche that you can take that no one else has done.knowing mandarin as you do, i guess u will be specialsing in china and s.e.asia right?

      • Sarah M Friday July 4, 2014 at 2:19 pm #

Actually trying to get away from China a bit. I got a few paid trips and some products to ‘test’. I just came back from an expenses paid trip to Norway. Next step is persuading someone to pay me real money rather than justgive me free stuff. See, I’m still moaning 🙂

      • alifesgayventure Friday July 4, 2014 at 2:15 pm #

oh, and also telling the chinese about places in europe slanted towards what they like. it seems their likes can be real weird.

      • Sarah M Friday July 4, 2014 at 2:28 pm #

Well there are so many chinese everywhere in europe now, and soon will be more in london since they relax visa requirements. In Norway they were buying up furs. Western europeans don’t buy fur these days but chinese do.
