woolich arsenal to east ham walk

london 8.30pm saturday 2015

some pics taken on the walk from woolich arsenal , across the thames by ferry , skirting the city airport to the city farm, and thence walk along the greenway to plaistow, east ham, and left the walk leader at west ham to go home.

      hi , thanks for telling me u like the pics i took. it was the first time i been to that area, in all the years i live here never been on board that woolich ferry. the river is broad here, that is why they have the ferry instead of a bridge. people can walk , and cycle because i saw the cyclist come out of that footbridge exit, under the river to cross as well, but i think it might be a bit scary, as it will be a long walk, unlike the foot crossing at greenwich where the river is narrower. i think it is hardly used as it is so much easier and nicer to cross using the ferry and it is all free too for everyone, even for cars and lorries.

    I’m not familiar at all with that part of London, so it’s quite interesting to see your photos. I do like those statues. And the turkeys!
