birthday krispy creme

london 3.17pm thursday 2015

very sunny day 23C. i got an email from krispy creme people singing happy birthday to me haha and saying bring this email to any krispy creme place and i can get a free doughnut. recently i subscribed to their facebook by accident really. and the people at the kiosk in victoria station were real nice about it, saying they do these birthday treats , with even a tray of doughnuts decorated in various ways on the counter. i chosed one and took it with me to eat at the victoria place … stopped off at my hsbc branch to get a free coffee… haha.

i found out the one i chose was called saltedcaramel cheesecake. a limited edition it seemed, but it is a doughnut, not a cheesecake, inspite of the name. something sweet goes very well with bitter coffee. a match made in heaven haha.

No Krispy Kreme in France, boo hoo….

are they really that good? i got a free one from them, so really should not complain, but i cannot understand it. amazing to have a whole business based on it, like cupcakes, that one i dont understand too. but then they are seemingly thriving, so what do i know! haha. maybe the french got more common sense than the rest of the world if it has no krispy kreme. haha. i prefer the ordinary doughnuts, just dough, fried and sprinkled with suger.

You are probably right! Oh and I almost forgot: Happy birthday!

thanks for saying i am probably right. i know i am not, i am used to it, being in the minority of one, and i dont mind. haha. i think if everyone has my opinion, we will all be poor. there will be no businesses. i am always aware that for me to hold the opinions i have, is a luxury and only made possible because there are so many others who dont have that opinion… businesses rely on people spending and buying.
as for birthdays, that is another thing that i have stopped celebrating ages ago. after a certain age, 30 i think, there is no point being reminded, or celebrating getting older.haha.

Happy Birthday!! Krispy Cremes are doughnuts and it sells well here. Expensive too but it sells…they are good…sinfully decadent from what die hard fans tell me! I have yet to try one 😉

do try one and maybe u can tell me what is the attraction of it. perhaps it is just sweet, like macaroons and cupcakes, two others that everyone seem to like, but i fail to see what it is they like about it.

i forgot to see what they cost in that kiosk, but i bet they are not cheap so just as well i did not find them that great. i am glad that kispy creme gave me one to taste, just to see what the fuss is about. i dont think i have missed anything. haha.

It costs almost $3 a piece here.

      • alifesgayventure Saturday June 6, 2015 at 3:33 pm #

about £1.50 a piece, i think here they cost more than that. it wont surprise me if here they cost £3 a piece. i have noticed that they always use the same number but in the local currancy.

Yes, you are right. I call it the McDonald Index. McDonald costs the same in Malaysia and Singapore. But we Singaporeans find McDonald’s cheap in Malaysia as it is in Ringgit! So I will not be surprised on same numeral value but in different currency
