the christmas spirit

london 5.23pm friday 2015

the christmas gifting is building up to a big steam now. all the weekend papers got supplements full of gift ideas, and the tv adverts are just presents -filled. even the programs are now christmas themed. they all have very sentimental plots, but they do make me tear up a bit. rather silly but in a nice way, you know haha. and the ones that show new york scenes are really nostalgic, which just goes to show how new york have been associated with christmas in films for so long now, that it has been kind of burned into the national memory. haha.

most people will be thinking and worrying what to buy … not me of course, but i am all for the buying spree during these occasions, as this will keep businesses afloat for the year. most will earn their profits during this short period and sustain them throughout the rest of the financial year.

most of us complain about how commercial christmas has become, but it is what makes the money go round and provide jobs for people.

so far the shops have not put out the christmas decorations, they still  have the witches and halloween stuff in the window. but that will change. it’s only november, and you might well be forgiven if u think it is too early for the christmas hoo haa to start. but if u dont need to worry about buying anything , this time in thebuild up to it is rather exciting. even if u dont buy into the nativity thing,( like me), you can still enjoy the hype for what it is, a bit of theatre and entertainment.

Well they’ve put up the lights already, haven’t they? And John Lewis have put out their advert, so that means it’s all started.
You can avoid being sucked in but your have to be quite strong-minded.

yes, now u have reminded me, the oxford st lights are on, and as you said so is the john lewis ad, though i have to say both are not very impressive. haha. i suppose i have more or less suggest that it is futile to fight it, so might as well enjoy it. it is painless to join in only if u dont have to buy presents and food to celebrate it. that will cause anxiety because of the big hole it will blow in your budget.

Before I sound like the grinch, let me say I love Christmas.
But buying overpriced gifts is overrated. I have not bought a single Christmas gift for anyone over 10 in a decade. I prefer to spend the money on taking out friends and family for quality time. So much better and the money spent creates great memories that last much longer than expensive gifts.
The only exception would maybe be some jewelry for as hot boy haha.

haha, you are like me, but u actually reciprocate by taking them out and treating them. so u keep your friends and family. others might want to cook a meal for family and friends, but u can see it takes effort , whilst just buying things for them is easier… maybe that is why so many opt for that easy option. not many realise that if u dont keep up with these traditions, u lose touch with friends and family.

As a gay naturist, the best plan is always to get them naked and a little drunk lol.
