london 3.57pm cloudy 15.3C tuesday 2015

i thought i shall go see some exhibitions in london.

one is gayfest, in southwark st,about guys from india , taking photos mainly of transgender and lesbians.

the other is a photos exhibition of old china.

added. 11.11.15 8.07am saw this article telling about the same guy, thomas child, who took those pictures in that exhibition i saw in the china exchange building in chinatown. i saw this article in a newsfeed . interesting that a international website for a american newspaper can mention this exhibition in london.

( now simon wants to use the phone. his soul wants life to be difficult because i have just asked my mobile company to move my old number to the tesco sim card. and so that card is not functioning. none of my sim cards are functioning as it takes 2 days to transfer the number over. you know i have a strong conviction that some people just want their life to be difficult. instead of doing all these phonings when the phone is working, before i  ask to shift my number… his soul have to wait till i do, and then want to use the phone. ah well, he has to use the landline now and you know that landline will charge a lot. such is life. fortunately i have money that talktalk gave me in that landline account , haha. it is about his congestion charge account. the money is automatically debited from his account whenever he uses the car and have to pay a congestion charge. he says he saw a huge amount of money listed that he owes, and had informed them of it, and then he says he heard nothing from them, but then he finds that debit amount had been corrected.

it seems to me this country goes over backwards trying to stop fools from forgetting to pay and incurring a penalty. they are good enough to make all payments automatic whenever they use the car so they dont even have to remember to pay, or get fined because they forget.

people here are really very pampered, expecting to be saved from their own stupidity.

and yet or because of it, you hear so often of these fools continue to make stupid mistakes and incur penalties and then complain like mad about it. they know if they make enough noise they will be compensated.

like all those idiot pensioners who give away their account numbers to scamming phonecalls… as if it has not been publicised ad nauseum never to give your bank details to anyone over the phone, or let anyone go into your computer. if u ask me anyone who is still fool enough to continue to do it deserve to have all their money taken. sigh, i know not very charitable of me. but i wish the newspapers will not write about these fools. or if they do , they  just say another fool bites the dust for being such a fool. a fool and his money…you know that old saying.

Interesting photos! I cannot get over how slow your mobile phone services work. But I understand UK is big. Here it is super fast within hours and our phone works. Often within the hour.

here there are many mobile companies who jealously guard their business so they dont make it easy to transfer the mobile number to another rival. at one time i remember they deliberately make it difficult to get the PAC number from them. now at least that is easy to get. but they still require 2 days to move that number to the new phone sim. my number is transferred now.

2 days is still long. I guess it is competition that makes them behave such.

yes i agee, 2 days is too long. for most people it will be unacceptable not to get access to their number for two days. i think that would discourage a lot of people from transferring their number. but this number is easy to remember whilst the new number is not. most people dont mind, as they can always text the person to tell them of the new number and so dont have to memorise their phone numbers. what about u, would u keep the old number?

My old number has always been with me. Easy to remember and our telco players removed monopoly and one can port easily. Thankfully.

i think i might follow you from now on and keep the same number for my mobile. in the past i dont bother, but having the same number means people can reach me no matter how many times i change my phone company, and also it saves me having to write or text them to tell them to change my number. it might get very confusing for them, if i do it too often. i have a friend where i got two mobile numbers and i have forgotten which is the most recent one.
