my friend john from poole send me an email with this link saying

At least three police officers marching in the London Pride parade ended the day with engagement rings on their fingers.  The whole parade just stopped for a policeman to propose his boyfriend at !   Two London Metropolitan Police officers who were marching in uniform got engaged, while another officer left the march to propose to his boyfriend in the crowd.  Both proposals were accepted, to the delight of the surrounding crowds.  The men were three of about 80 police officers taking part in the annual event — now in its 43rd year.  Tens of thousands of people gathered in central London for the parade.

London police proposal

rather sweet … more pictures in that link

i dont see this in our newspapers. it has to be a foreign source to feature it. i wonder why the local papers dont have it.
