8 May

london 12.46pm 10C cloudy monday 2017

today the post delivered my and simon’s voting card for the june 8 general election. it seems u dont need the card to vote, but they still send us these cards. maybe it is to encourage those who receive it to vote, like an invitation. it is true that if i did not know better, and i only found out recently;  i would think i need this card to vote too.

together with these two cards, there was a leaflet telling us of the road closures for the saturday, sunday and bank holiday weekend, that is coming up in 3 weeks time.  the main event is on bank holiday monday 29th may  because of a road running race, the vitality london 10,000 starting near buckingham palace, and ending near the bank, and st paul’s. i suppose it being a bank holiday, it wont disrupt the working public at all. and the shopping streets of oxford st and regent st wont be affected. though all the buses going through there will be. it is all in a good cause i suppose, for cancer research. and it is something for those who like to be busy and like to find something  to do.
