london 7.02pm 16C rain monday 2017
it’s lovely that it is raining. it removes the pollen from the air and makes me feel non sneezy, which is a real pleasure i can tell you. my friend john who is in poole, wrote me asking if london is rainy, and hoping it wont affect his visit to london this thursday. i wrote back saying i am enjoying this rainy weather and hope long may it continue. haha. it goes to show not everyone likes hot sunny days. we hay fever sufferers love it when it rains. and so i see the forecast is for more rain, and that makes me glad.

Rain is always good and I think of it as filling the reservoirs in lil red dot and we need not argue with Malaysia for more water😉
i too was thinking all this rain will replenish our reservoirs here in england. not that long ago there was talk of a drought and water rationing in the south england.
i hear that they can regenerate fresh water from sea water using graphene filters, so that might be something that singapore can work on. it is not wise to depand on one neighbour for most of your water supply.singapore have to walk a tight rope, with regards to its neighbours. i think if we can get fresh water out of salt water, it will count as the most important invention.
Yes, Singapore has started desalineation and Newater. We are not fully dependent on Johor now, which is good.
i wonder is there any rain water collection facillity in all those buildings. do people collect rain water? or is it too much trouble? after all, it can only be used to water plants and maybe not many people have that many indoor plants. rain water tanks need cleaning regularly, and need to be covered to prevent mosquitos breeding. it sounds too much like hard work.
Our government has built Marina Bay and storm drains to collect water at a national level. For those who live in houses, I know of some who collect rain water for plants or for washing cars.
