well, i knew it will come soon, the old £10 notes will cease legal tender from 1 march 2018. that is why i have been using my old notes every time i go shopping. fortunately £10 notes are not used much . it is the £20 notes that are most common. and once i have used up all my old notes, i shall start using the £20 ones. they are slated to be replaced in 2020, i think.  so better start using them up now. haha. i wonder how people from abroad and who have these old notes cope… i have lots of old francs, and lira, etc, which i have resigned myself to losing out on them. it is too much bother to go to those individual countries and try to redeem them, even if they allow it.

I think it is sad when we lose out. I think I have £ and should go to the money changer and monetize it to buy snacks haha!😃

if it is the old £10 notes, or any old notes will the money changer take it? with the uk, the old notes will be accepted by the bank of england even though long expired. but it does mean having to come to uk in person, or getting a friend to do it. but if the money changers at your country will accept it, that would make things easier.
