just had my prostate biopsy and am feeling fine. it went very smoothly. i went at 9.30am, at chelsea hosp and had the op at about 11.30am, came round at about 1.30pm. and left at about 4.30pm with simon come to fetch me back. i shall have to wait and see once the pain medication wears off whether i will start getting pain then. hope not. or if there is pain it is bearable without needing to take medication. i was told to expect blood in my urine , and stool.

i am glad it all went smoothly.

now i am back home. and getting on with life.

Had my biopsy about this time 2014. Found some indicators in one of the 16 sections of prostate grid “pinched” . Started Lupron. Stopped Lupron about year and half ago, PSA 7.5 started Lupron again. Metastasized to two lymph nodes in left hip. This was shown in PET scan. Advise get PET scan if available as I have no way of know if lymph nodes have had cancer all along this past 5 years since PET scan only recently done. Only way to find out if cancer in other parts of body and more than Lupron needed. Get PET scan. You may feel internal tenderness but should not have pain. Very wise you are addressing this issue. If fate is to have cancer, this is the one to get as has good survival rate in most cases and in many cases you die with it not from it. Lupron is effective for a while then the next level of treatment will be necessary. Do not step in front of a bus or train is secondary advice to increase survival rate.

For me 16 samples were taken at once. Gives some soreness, some blood, needs time to heal but if really dramatic stuff call the urologist office.
