what is the story?

london 2.27pm 24.5C cloudy friday 2017

i just realise it is june now, and so it is summer time. i was waiting for the 24 bus at the bus stop near the library, in pimlico, and saw a chinese guy , he looked in his late 20s, walking along with his wheeled luggage and a bag, he looked like a one of those tourists, off to catch his train or something, but he stopped by the recycling bins and i saw him empty his bag and take the clothes there and stuffed it into the recycling bins for clothes. then when he emptied his bag, he opened his wheeled luggage, and began to empty that out, and took out bundles of clothing to put in the bin. when he was done, he crossed the road with the now empty bags and entered the pimlico housing estate.

i was wondering what his story is… is this someone clearing his winter wardrobe, i wonder? or finally making a clean sweep of all his old clothes to declutter. or is there something more exotic to tell. well, we shall never know what his story is.

well, real life is like this…isn’t it? a lot of stories that have no beginning and no ending. i suppose this is what a potential writer will take advantage of  and run with it, using his imagination to build up a wonderful story. who knows right?

london 2.23C 13C sunny (feel like 12C) tuesday 2017

well, i did go out just now. cant say i could have differentiated the feeling of 13C from what it would feel like if it is 12C. haha. just goes to show how ridiculous these feel like temperatures are.

anyway it was very pleasant, and all that i need to do was within one bus ride , the C10. i just went to the post office, and the library. both near the bus stops.

now i am back at my flat to wait for ian, my friend who i had arranged to meet.

originally we were supposed to meet at the age uk canteen , in their office near russell square gardens in bloomsbury. but it involved 3 changes of buses for me, so even though there are no long walks between the changes, i felt i dont really want to bother. so i emailed him last night to ask if we can change it to him coming to my flat instead.

he finished work at about 1 or 2pm, near angel, it is about the north east corner of central london. might take him some time to cycle to me. anyway i am putting my foot up on the sofa and that is nice. and have rice being cooked now which i shall eat with a warmed up vegetable curry left over from the huge batch that my friend john had cooked before he left for his journey up north.

i also am steaming brocolli that simon bought and which we ignored for so long , it has got brown all over the top. that is the trouble with brocolli, it does not keep well. i have to eat it or have to throw it away and i am too thrifty to throw it away.

now i got a cup of coffee (instant) by my side and enjoying a short post on my blog.

i borrowed a new book from the library. it is the mandibles – a family 2029-2047 by lionel shriver. it is a futuristic novel about new york and america. would be interesting to read , though i daresay from the few pages i have read that it will be about how awful it is, water rationing, food shortages, no meat, everything very expensive. all quite depressing really, but i guess i shall soldier on and read it. sigh cant really have a fun novel these days. gone are the days of enid blyton and childhood fun , with kids doing adventure with a small a, and just being kids and having fun with a bit of danger , but not too much and not too dangerous , no one gets killed for one thing.

added.9.52pm 12C dry. actually that curry turned out to be lamb curry, with lots of veg. i topped it up with the steam brocolli, very tender after the steaming, and with rice, it was a delicious meal. i seem to like other people’s cooking more than my own . my appetite have not been diminished by my infected foot. i shall take that as a sign that it is healing, and the food is what the body wants to build up cells again.

not much things i want to watch on tv tonight. perhaps they are saving all the good programs for the easter weekend that is this weekend. it will force me to read this book i borrowed. that might be a good thing, as i dont seem to be in the mood for it, but when there is nothing to read, i will just have to take it up and read it and that might draw me into the book if i give it a chance.

so for 4 days no newspapers for me , as the libraries will all be shut.

fictionalised bloggers

2 Aug

london 2014 saturday 1.38pm

Sometimes i wonder bloggers dont make up things and write about make belief things  just to be able to post something interesting.

i mean my life is so ordinary now, that i find i dont find anything to write about.

i could rant about world affairs of course, but what is the point right?

or i could add my two cents worth about celebrities, or about someone being charged £75 for 3 bottles of water in a posh hotel cigar trench bar, somewhere in london, because the hotel  impose a minimum £25 on each person in the bar. but what is the point right? and anyway others can do it better.

perhaps i can understand some bloggers who make up their persona and create a blog on it.

the problem comes when they become quite well known and their blog is quite successful with lots of followers, and then they try to come clean and get a lot of disgruntled followers who have been fooled.

recently this happened with two blogs, one of which i follow, he calls himself theo fenraven and he writes Men on men ebook fiction. but he had confessed that he is really born a woman. and he is 62yrs old and not 33 yrs old as he had said on his blog.

and another blog, his friend, A J rose, who also writes Men on men ebook fiction, who said he is really a she. i have not been following A J rose, but i have been following fenraven’s blog. i wish in a way that he had kept it a secret.

it is much more fun to read what he wrote in his blog if u dont know who he really is.

real life is not so interesting, it would seem. i mean to say not a lot of us lead such exciting lives really. most of us if we are lucky get some really exciting periods, and then years of nothing… and it is a good thing, because a life full of excitement is rather tiring to my way of thinking.

but i think he feels he have to come out as he wants to make his fiction more popular, and his friend A J Rose also came out and she had some positive support i think , which might encourage him to do the same. and if he wants to make personal appearances , and book readings, to publicise his ebooks,  he will have to come clean.

But it brings me back to my opening words, about my life being so uneventful, that i wonder if i should invent something just to make it more fun to read. ( dont worry, i wont bother, because i am too arsed to make anything up. haha.)

so i can understand other people doing just that and invent a persona and blog about that and invent stories about them. after all i think ebook fiction writers must be more prone than most people to do that, seeing they are allready in the business of make belief, and fiction.

one wonders what one can believe in the world of the internet. do we all have to take everything here with a pinch of salt?
