a few days of diary entries

10 Dec

9.12.12 sunday

I was browsing in Chinatown yesterday , a Saturday, which just goes to show how disorganised I am because Saturday is a busy day for grocery shopping and it would be crowded. Not a good day to go there if u want a leisurely shopping experience.

I was at see foo in lisle st, and saw their frozen white fish (from Thailand) is £3.50 a kg. but saw the queue was so long I decided to come back another day. Their thin rice noodles are the cheapest at .95p.

Then I went to the big store in Gerard st, and saw their frozen fish was £3.19 per kg. that is cheaper. (glad I did not buy it at see foo)and their frozen fish balls 200mg is cheaper too at £1.50. I bought the frozen fish, there was only one pack remaining. I wonder whether that is the old price, and the price will rise for the new stock when they replenish the supply.

(Added. 10.12.12 Monday. I used one fillet for my dinner. I thawed it overnight first and then cooked it in the rice cooker along with the rice. I put finely sliced ginger, garlic and Chinese chives, thin slices of chilli, and a dash of black soya sauce. Delicious. Had enough to share it with simon even.)

I think I shall buy the frozen fish from now on, rather than the fish balls as it is really so much cheaper than the fish balls. Fish balls are processed food that is why they are so expensive per kg. and v salty too.

Even Tesco and sainsburys sell frozen fish basic range at £3.80 per kg. so Chinatown is better value.

I am watching alien resurrection on tv now , (multi tasking don’t u know); and this scene is a underwater one, and I marvel at how long they can remain underwater holding their breath for so long, and everything is so well lit, so we can see everything, and also I marvel at how they can see underwater without glass goggles. We all know that everything is blur if u try to see underwater without glass googles.

There are so many flashes of light in these scenes it must be fit inducing.

I thought I have seen this movie but it is new to me. So I guess I must have missed seeing this particular one before.

(added. Did not see the film to the end as I switched the tv off as I just got bored with the films and programs on now.)

Anyway, back to my life haha.

It is a happy way of life, my life. Though not much is happening.

I was earlier today, Sunday, volunteering with a charity that provide hot meals to people in need. These people are suffering hiv.

(Actually, I read a blog in wordpress by a guy who was describing his life being hiv positive. It is a very moving blog, as he writes well.

One of his post was about hiv activist vs. safer sex advocates and he said many hiv activist do not think they are safer sex advocates and that the two are very different and he says why not? I agree with him that really even if a hiv positive guy may decide to have unsafe sex, after all u can see the logic of it… what has he got to lose seeing he is already hiv +… he should still tell those who are not infected to practise safe or safer sex. Even though nowadays the medicine is quite effective and not so toxic it is still not very nice to take them. There are side effects.

During the charity session, we go out in pairs, one driving the car, the other , ie me, navigate but the guy who was driving today wants to use his sat nav, so I did not have to navigate the route. It takes a load off my mind and I was able to enjoy the ride. All I have to do was bring the food to the door.

Sat nav makes things so easy nowadays.

The only downside is that it sometimes brings u to busy high streets and into traffic jams. But usually Sundays are relatively traffic free. Though we had to go to earls court area and that road is just jammed, because of a narrowing of the road due to road works.

London has such good shopping and so many food and Christmas markets, that really if u are into those things u will love it. But I don’t really like them, so a lot of the things going on in London are of no interest to me. I know, I didn’t use to be like this. When I first came to London I was really interested in seeing everything.

I am glad that there are so many still interested in shopping, just today I read that the westend took in record sales over the weekend. So good for them, and people… carry on buying and splurging haha. Just make sure u can afford it and don’t be so stupid as to borrow money to spend this Christmas.

Sometimes I do wish there are more things that are in London that interests me but I daresay it is me. I seem to not want to do these things and it seems kind of defeat the purpose of living in London if I don’t do those things. But I don’t care, haha. I like living here. there are more advantages than just shopping and doing the tourist things and visiting museums and art galleries to oogle the art and going to Christmas markets. I have moved on to more hard core entertainment. Haha.

In the gay scene, there are plenty of things to do, and lots of sex too. I seem to take them in bursts of activity followed by hibernation. It is nice to have them there for the times when I get horny. The internet and the gay websites enable us to make contact with other gay guys too and though this is not exclusive to London, London has a v good transport system which enables us to meet up more easily without needing to own a car.

Well, London caters to all requirements. I find it can be a bit tiring to go to all these places , and many of them go on late into the night and I do like my beauty sleep. So I don’t go to those late night places. Haha. But not all places are like that, thank goodness, for London caters to everyone. There is still my favourite sex club where u can get sex with as many as u like for just £6. And that includes free coat check and a free drink and all done at a reasonable hour and still get u back for a good nights sleep afterwards. Haha. They provide lots of condoms and lube.

I went to a naked party in south London on Friday just to let u all know that I do go to these things now and then. Naked parties, both privately hosted and commercially hosted, are still interesting to me (in fact, they are the only thing I like now) so those are the kinds that I go to. It was held in a private house way down south, in zone 6 and near a train station and not a tube station. That is how far it is. Its in the evening, and involved me joining the rush hour of office workers taking the train in victoria station on their way to return home from work on a Friday.

I had a taste of what it must be like to commute everyday. Quite horrible really, not so much the actual being on the train. That was ok, because it was not crowded and people can get seats if they want.

It was horrible because of the dark night and the long journey (even with a fast train, a slow train would be murder) and the sheer tedium of having to do it everyday. Luckily the british are not chatterboxes so no one was talking, except briefly one guy on the phone.

Not to mention the cost, for those who pay it. I don’t. The day’s evening standard was talking of the fares hike in January of the train fares. London fares will be going up by more than the 3-4%mentioned in the papers, to something like 8%.

That guy on the phone on the train was talking about it and saying how pissed he was about it. Well, people, I daresay we can all expect this to continue every year from now on.

Its been like that for many years before too.
Added. 9.25pm 10.12.12 I got back from supermarket bargain hunting and was lucky to find a 2.8kg pork leg reduced from about £12 to £3.75. And the pineapples are still .49p each. They are delicious as I know having bought one the day before and almost finished them. So I bought another one. Haha. When they get reduced like this, you must grab them quick.

It reminds me of nature’s feast and famine scenario. A huge glut and u cannot eat it fast enough or get thoroughly fed up of it, and then the glut is over and u have to wait for another year for that fruit season to come round again.

It is the funny thing about pineapples. I know they have been harvested green long ago miles away, and yet they are real sweet now. How do they do it~? I am sure there is some shenanigans … like putting them in a room of vapor from chemicals to artificially trigger the ripening process. Or using chemicals to arrest the ripening process. But whatever, it is a nice pineapple.

I don’t eat so much of them for me to be affected by any chemicals they use. Haha.

I am not much worried about these things. Maybe I am a fool not to be worried, but hey, it is another way of dying among many to chose from . Haha.

Before it gives me cancer I would have died of something else, or if I do live that long, the aches and pains will make me want to die and the cancer will be welcomed… death is a release. So it is all good. Haha.

some thoughts

3 Dec

A guy says he is bisexual. Another said even so, u still have a preference. It is like a chap who said he is an independent voter, he will have a preference party that he more often than not votes for.

I wonder if someone who says he is bisexual is really tending towards being gay but is not willing to say so. Saying bisexual is a half way point to finally acknowledging he is gay.

This is because if u are straight, u don’t need to say u are anything else. But if u are gay, It is such a stigma to be gay, even nowadays, u want to step into a half way house first.

Have you notice this… that if u are gay and u sleep once with a woman , nobody accuses u of being straight, but  if u are straight and sleep with a guy once  and boy will they be branding u gay.

In an ideal world, we will not be labelling each other, but than maybe the way we are made makes us have to label things, that is how we as a species have survived. We label something as good or bad for us, for eg, good to eat or dangerous to eat, or dangerous to go there, or not… labelling makes us avoid dangerous situations. It is a a short hand to let us make sense of the world and the environment and each other so we can suss a person out immediately in terms of whether they are enemies or friends.

Anyone different from us will by definition be an enemy. In the past this would make u stay alive or not.

Now of course we all live in a society and no one goes killing another for food or territory or females to mate. So labelling is not so useful anymore but u cannot expect us to ditch all those evolutionary traits that have served us well for 1000s of years of evolution just like that.

This one is regarding steve gough , the naked rambler. It seems the police don’t want to keep him locked up but he insists on being naked and Scottish law for some reason do not want people going naked. He has shown them up to be upholding a foolish law. People say steve is stubborn, but I think he is showing that a foolish law is a foolish law and a throwback to the olden days and it is high time Scotland acknowledge this and remove this willingness to make nakedness a contempt of court or breach of the peace. Which is the two laws used to jail him.

This one is saying London is costly to live in. if u are a visitor , it is… because u have to live in a hotel, and accommodation esp short term ones are expensive. And also being a visitor u only go to the touristy places that sell overpriced goods and eat at touristy restaurants. So of course u will find it expensive.

I think also people read of these surveys done by companies and magazines that cater to the businessman to let them compare cost of living in various cities and because these guys go to high end restaurants and stay at high end hotels, and take taxis, and so on, it is not surprising they give an impression that London is expensive.

Take it from me. I am a Londoner and it is very cheap for me to live here. It is cheaper to move around and get things here in London than for my friends living in the small towns and villages. For one thing, public transport for them is scarce, so they have to shop locally and it is not cheap to shop local as they are like captive shoppers and the businesses near them know it. It may be they are small shops and so their costs are high relative to the bulk buying that big nationwide retailers can command. But whatever the reason it is not cheap. Whilst I can get very much reduced prices for food at the end of the day in the supermarkets in London. Even the normal prices for meat etc are lower than in the villages.

With public transport so scarce, and expensive, people need the car. And we all know it is expensive to keep a car. And it is colder in the country, so they have to put on their heating. Whilst for me in London, it seldom gets that cold, and I have not have to put on my heating for 4yrs or so now.

Also , people tend to live in flats in London and the heat between flats helps keep them warm. In the country the houses are old and separate and so harder to keep warm.

The whole city has a warming effect. The buildings retain their heat and radiate it out at night. Cities are like heat sinks.

Also so many things are thrown out that u can furnish a flat using stuff u pick up in recycling bins for free. I have yet to see such a thing happening in the country villages and small towns.

I have been browsing the gay blogs in wordpress and I find them rather sad. Are there no happy gay guys anywhere? Gay guys who love their lives?
I love being gay and my life is wonderful. And I am not rich. Surely there must be tons of others like me, but maybe a happy life is not very pluggable nor is it fun to write about. After all who wants to read of someone who is happy. It just makes you feel awful when u compare it with your life. Most people are not happy.

Still, I do wish there are more happy gay guys blogging about it rather than the gay section full of rather sad gay people or always writing about the bad things that happen.

Sad is more entertaining to read , it seems. Well it must be so otherwise why do we have such sad blogs talking of sad things? Whether they are gay or straight sad and bad seem to get a lot more press. I don’t know why…

I find it saddening to read sad things, and I avoid them, but I guess humans being being what they are, it makes people glad to read that others are worst off than they are.

Someone in a broadcast says it is a human trait to compare your situation with others, so if u say for eg, trains are 89% on time, or some such figure, people are not happy , but if u say trains in uk are generally more punctual than trains in germany, u will find a lot of people will brighten up at that. He says people in uk are always happier if there is anything here that is better than germany. Haha.

Is that so?

He said, now that the trains have put up notices
saying when the next train is coming, people are much happier about it than before when they don’t know when the next train is due.

Though I find people get angry again if the sign is wrong, and their 7min train stretches to 10mins or more with the last minute taking ages to change.

It is true I for one prefer this notice of when the next train or bus is due. I think It is because then it gives us the option to catch another train or bus instead or go and do something else first.

He was talking about changing your perception to make yourself happy or sad . A very useful strategy to make yourself happy.

In that broadcast he also said why pensioners feel happier than young unemployed. Both are jobless.

I think that is obvious, because old people have already lived their lives and have done and seen all they want to. Whilst young people are just setting out on their lives and want to see and experience everything and lack of money or jobs will restrict them.

One is at the beginning of their lives, the other is at the end.

And it is a fact that once u have seen life and done most things, u know what they are like and u can say, it is nice to have seen and done them, but it is no big deal. It is not really as nice as u think it can be. So u can retire knowing u have not missed much.

Whilst the young still think there are wonderful things they should do and see, and I shall be missing out if I don’t. and how am I going to do and see these things if I don’t have a job and money?

why poverty?

29 Nov

The bbc is running a series of programs asking the question why poverty?

I gather they are saying that the system is hijacked by the rich for the rich to keep everyone else poor.

I don’t think the rich is at fault. They are just taking advantage of the capitalist system. As any human being will do,, when it finds a loophole in the system which s/he can exploit.

This polarisation of wealth to concentrate on the top 1% is both the strength and the weakness of the capitalist system.

That is why I personally feel periodic crashes of the system in the form of stock market crashes are good. It is a way for the wealth to be redistributed.

It is a bit like what happens in nature. U know of forests full of tall trees that have dominated that forest for ages, and killing off everything under it, or preventing everything from growing under its shadow. Than a big storm comes and uproots practically all of them, and u see giants crashing to the ground and enormous upheaval, or a volcano erupts and destroys everything. Then u see a great flourishing and new growth.

It seems to me that is the modus operandi of the capitalist system. Crashes are periodic adjustments of the system. It is also a way to create slaves, economic slaves to keep society going. So unless we all want to go back to a slave economy, the capitalist economy is the best alternative.

It allows us to create new businesses and makes those of us who are so inclined to trade and make money, and exercise our urge to invent and seek new thrills.

It was argued by the greek philosophers that poverty is essential , otherwise no one will work.

In a way, the greeks and the romans have solved the poverty question. If u are a citizen of rome u are allright as the state will provide for you. And it is all supported by money and slaves which are provided by conquering other countries.

Nowadays we don’t have slaves as such, but we do have wage slaves. And they are the modern slaves.

That is why I don’t think poverty will ever be eradicated.

Someone wrote in the letters section saying it is ignorance , more than poverty , that should be eradicated. If u eradicate ignorance, u will eradicate poverty.

And I agree. added. but only for the individual. general poverty will remain.

Once u realised how the society and economy works, removing the ignorance there, u can take advantage of it and thrive.

Take me for eg.

I realised that it is folly to be tempted by the advertisers telling you what u should have to be successful. All the trappings of success involve buying things that costs a lot and that means getting into debt to pay them off, and that means having to work till u drop dead. That vicious circle is where the system keep people in wage slavery. And produce this rich getting richer and poor getting poorer scenario.

But once u know that, u can stop craving those goods and services. You will not have any debts, when u have enough for your needs you can stop buying more. Immediately u don’t need so much money to live, and u can therefore forget about working. U just need a small amount of money to live from then on.

But if you catch yourself saying , ‘that is not going to work‘… u are already putting up objections. U have been so brainwashed you cannot conceive of any alternative to working till u drop dead.

And to tell the truth, if everyone do what I am doing, society will collapse. Who would want to work if everyone is rich or do what I am doing? So who will farm the fields, butcher the meat, make stuff to sell ? Invent things , improve society by creating new products and services? Who will cut our hair, cook in our restaurants, serve our food? Who will build our roads, run our railways and airlines…

For that matter, who will be consuming those things, if all follow me and not consume.

We will have to bring in slavery.

So it is a paradox what I am advocating… if it is taken up by everybody, society will collapse. Haha.

So just as well no one will follow it.

I know there are a few of us doing it, but we keep it to ourselves. We are not the rich, because they too are caught up in the constant consuming and buying more and more expensive stuff and services. You would be surprised how many of these so called rich are in debt. In fact, the capitalist tax system makes it profitable to be in debt as it is a tax right off.

Did you know that Michael Winner prefers to borrow money at one time, because with interest rates so low, it is cheaper for him to fund his lifestyle that way, rather than sell his assets which are appreciating faster than money is depreciating.

He is one of the many rich who are playing the system. He is paying low interest using money that is going down in value fast. So with inflation his debt is reducing , he is paying it with money that is getting smaller in value, whilst his assets are increasing in value fast as they get rarer. Whilst still enjoying all the luxury services.

It is fun for a while, but after some time, u get bored with another gourmet restaurant meal, and how many times can u ride in your rolls Royce before it becomes mundane? And u are not even getting the pleasure of driving that thing, your chauffeur is.

People like me are playing the system but in another way. We are the ones who know and have sidestepped the system and taken ourselves out of that constant cycle of spending and consuming and debt . It is another way of playing the system so that it serves you.

And we get our pleasure from sex. Which for a gay guy at least do not need wealth to enjoy. Haha. There are plenty of other gay guys happy to play for fun, rather than money. And sex is the only thing that I know of that we can never get bored with.

There are more Michael winners than there are me. Haha. But both are playing the system to our advantage.

how to get rid of back pain and other thoughts

28 Nov

It is really difficult to interest people in things that interest me.
Take for eg this event, organised by the brighton naked bike ride people as a fund raiser.
They have arranged with a naturist club near London to host it. It is a naked 10am-2pm event. Suggested donation for entry is £5, and tea, coffee, biscuits, juice are provided. Bring your own lunch.

What attract me to it is that this naturist club is near a train station in zone 6 so can use the oyster card, and so easy to get to and from London victoria station.

All the naturist clubs I know of are miles away from the stations which itself is miles away from London.

And it is a chance to meet other naked bikers.

I don’t go to brighton to take part in their naked bike ride, as there was no incentive to join them since London is so much bigger and near me as I live here. And it is such a hassle to bring the bike on the train to brighton that I just don’t bother.

So why am I going to this one off fund raising event?

Because I want to try a naturist club. That is why. Usually these naturist clubs don’t welcome single men, which I think is a serious failing on their part and might explain why so many of them have falling membership.

These naturist clubs are so paranoid about single men. That is why this naturist club is rather unusual to even agree to host this event. There will be many men there as the majority of naked bike riders are men. I am hoping that they are wanting members and don’t care if they are men or not. Rather to have men joining and paying the money rather than stick to a family club and no family joining in and seeing the members all dying off.

By rights, to have a place to go to where u can be naked all the time , both indoors and outdoors and to meet and chat with so many others of like mind, must be such a wonderful idea, that it is a wonder why these places are not full. Most of us join a gym and those places are not even a place where u can hang out naked all day every day.

The idea of a club where u can be naked all year round both indoors and outdoors and meet others of like mind is a good one. By rights these clubs should be busy. They are not, and very secretive almost like they are ashamed of it.

I would like to see them go for a different type of membership, go for people who don’t mind who sees them naked, so that there is no need to hide behind high fences.

Added.today 27.11.12 . I wrote the above some time ago, and had no one wanting to join me and despairing of getting anyone to join me. And thinking just as well I don’t mind and will go even if I go on my own. After all, there will be lots of other naked male bikers there for me to befriend. But now I have 3 people joining me.

On another note, I have found a way to get rid of my back ache. I had a muscle at the back on the left side which I had sprained on a yacht long ago, and it acts up now and then.

Recently it was painful, and I found that if I stretch it and hold the stretch it gets better. People used to think the way to treat back pain is to go to bed and don’t move. But I think that is dangerous because it makes it worse.

At first it is painful to stretch the muscle, and you will think you are making it worse, but persevere, and u will find that gradually the pain goes.

There are many poses that stretch that muscle and its companion on the other side. Interestingly, stretching the other muscle on the other side also stretches the muscle on this side.

Bending from the waist, both sideways and forwards, and touching your toes,or attempting to, and rocking back and forth and sideways on your back also stretches the muscles. As well as lying on the back and twisting the body by bending the knee to the right whilst stretching the arm to the left and looking towards the left. And repeat with the other way.

Bending , twisting, even stretching the leg out whilst seating on the floor and touching the toes will all do some stretching of those side muscles at the back.

I have been going to the gym everyday and doing those exercises and it works.

That is my tip for anyone who suffers back pain.
The worst thing u can do is to take a pain medicine.

I read this article in vanity fair, about truman capote and his answered prayers … a book that destroyed his friendship with the rich socialites in new york. It made me realise my troubles with my friend when I wrote about him, are as nothing to his troubles when he wrote about his friends.

It never occurred to him why they should object, he said he is a journalist, that is what he does, report on whatever he sees around him and his friends are no exception. but I have read answered prayers, those excepts that have been published, (many other chapters have been lost, or destroyed by him). Reading his bitchy words about them, it is amusing to us but must be devastating to those referred to. I guess sometimes we don’t realise how such personal details can upset others. His attempt to disguise them is so thinly veiled, any one can identify who he based his characters on.

I guess he should have waited for them to all die first before publishing it.

Here is an article about a contraption for brewing tea, like nespresso. Using tea pods.

don’t laugh, I did when I saw the nespresso machine with their expensive pods of coffee, and see how successful it is now.

Just remember u can have good coffee and tea just by brewing them in a pot.
Simon makes coffee using a pyrex measuring jug.

just an ordinary gay day

24 Nov

I was on the tube to visit my friend in south London for a shag, and saw one of the poems which London tube has put up in ther advertising space. It is Rudyard kipling, A dead statesman.

I could not dig, I dared not rob,
Therefore I lied to please the mob,
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew
What tale shall serve me here among,
Mine angry and defrauded young.

I checked out the Tesco near him, and found they have £4 basic basmati 5kg rice on sale. And I resolved to get them on my return.
I would highly recommend them, as they are very fragrant, unlike the ordinary higher priced branded basmati rice. They just need less water to cook.

I bought two bags and came back by bus as the bus stops right outside my place, rather than take the tube so don’t have to carry those bags for a long distance.

Usually I would cycle to his place, but today was raining, and I was glad to be able to get free travel on the buses and tubes.

I do like visiting friends for shags. It is a very pleasant way to while away the hours.

I have a friend who lives in Thailand telling me he is visiting London in january2013. He has to come to uk to keep his permanent residence alive. He said he is minded to come via Canada, on a round the world ticket costing £1300 as it costs just as much as the direct bkk-london-bkk route. I thought it was rather a lot, as my uk friends can get £720 return by thai airways to Bangkok for January , and another friend got £670 rtn to penang from MAS. but perhaps he meant $1300. that would make more sense.

And just now I got a Rss feed telling me that Emirates are giving special low fares promotion till 3dec, on all their routes. Not sure how good the fares are as they seem to originate from their base airport. for us here in london, some of us might prefer to fly non stop rather than have to transit via dubai.

My friend in Thailand, who is white, and is a citizen of belize, wonders why I don’t visit Europe much now. Well I told him I can get all the shags I want staying in London and letting them come to us here in London instead of spending money going to them. And they all speak English when they come here.

Someone said if u don’t sightsee u have lost the aim of living. Haha. And it seems it was one of the chief regrets of people that they have not travelled and seen the world.

Just goes to show that if u did not do something, u think u have missed out. I am sure it has a name to it, this- fear of missing out -syndrome.

Well as someone who have seen a lot of sightseeing in my time, u have not missed much. Haha.

Life is very nice for me now. London is not troubled by the floods, so that all those pictures I see of flooded homes in the papers about the rest of the uk seem very unreal.

Well, my soul don’t want to bother with that experience that is why I live in London instead.

back from a short visit to poole

19 Nov

Just came back from poole where I have gone for the last 4days to visit a friend there.
I went by rail, via megabus.com and it was so nice that I am now spoilt. I use to go to him via national express bus but now the train fare is only  £1 and £5 singles and it only takes 2hrs I much prefer going by rail now.

No cheap offers for the Christmas , new year period, of course , but I hope they will resume these cheap offers in the rest of the year and I shall certainly visit poole more often in the summer if they do so .

I went charity shopping while I was there, and found the winton 99p shop sells hot water bottles for 99p and a big 900mg jar of pickled chillies for the same price. How come the London 99p shops don’t have this I wonder? the actual charity shops were rather disappointing though they have a good selection of fleece jackets at about £5 each.

Now I know where to go if I want to get any more hot water bottles. i bought one, a yellow one to add to the one i bought in london which costs £3. the pickled chillies are a good buy. in chinatown in london they cost more for a much smaller bottle. but then, i better wait till i taste it before i say too much. haha.

(Added.20.11.12 7.30pm i tried them for dinner just now and they are delicious. they still retain their chilli hotness even after being pickled. i would highly recommend them. )

I was lucky with the weather. The forecast of rain on Saturday did not materialise and Sunday was just sunny and blue sky which makes our walk along the beach from boscombe to the Bournemouth pier so much more fun. The bus fare was £2.80. Though a friend who joined us later said he got a fare of £2 when he asked the bus driver for the cheapest fare. It was an all day fare that is only valid for the m1 and m2 buses. Rather good value I thought. Trust a local to know of this.

The sand which they have imported from the middle of the channel just a year ago,(they do it every 3yrs and it costs £2-3million, is already getting pebbly shingles and looking grey from the oil which has landed on the sand in the middle of the harbour where it was first dredged. My friend said they did not filter the sand before spreading it. I guess it would have increased the cost even more. Further along nearer the Bournemouth pier the sand is better looking and more abundant. The sand filled up the whole beach right up to the road. Before my friend said they have to jump down from the road to the sand, and the stairs that go down are now buried in sand.
It makes it easier to access the beach from the road, but the downside is that the wind blows the sand onto the road.

We walked inland up the gardens to the Bournemouth square where there was a Christmas market.

One of us found a £2 coin so he gave us a treat of roast walnuts or chestnuts. I thought it rather expensive those chestnuts or whatever they are called.I ate one but was not really very impressed. It was dry. I prefer the Chinese roasted nuts that u can buy in Malaysia. I think they are walnuts. If so they taste better.

My friend said the nuts are from the horse chestnut trees, and u can collect them free now. I asked are these the same trees that gives conkers? He did not know.

But after tasting the roasted nuts I don’t think I want to go collecting any to cook in my oven.

As usual the Chinese do these things better .

There was a whole roast pig being done at one of the stalls, and would have been tempting but we have already ate our packed lunch of tuna pasta which john had made for us. So we were too full . Haha. Which was just as well as it saves us a load of money. Haha.

My friend took us on a different route to the beach after we finished with the Christmas market. He took us up to the triangle, and then along the top of the cliffs where we got fabulous views up and down the coast.

Simply marvellous the view , we could see as far as the isle of wight on one side, and the whole sweep of the bay to the other side.

And then we went down to the beach again and walked to middle chime where we climbed back to the poole road and went to visit a friend who lives near there for tea.

Rather a nice day that.

It is a nice change for me, this trip to the seaside. And it was a shagging trip too, as another friend joined us and we have a threesome. I like skimming without coming throughout my stay.

It was a pity that the ferry to studland was not running. My friend says the ferry is taken away for maintainance so we cannot take it to get across to the studland shell beach. Which is the naturist beach.

Ah well, perhaps just as well, as it must be rather cold.

One of the downside to a seaside town in uk, it gets rather bleak in winter.

I guess that is why I like livingImage in London instead.

Nothing like going away from home to realise how nice home is. Haha.

I am sure it must be obvious to evryone that the main reason why i go to poole is to shag. it is what makes life interesting for me. everything else i soon get fed up of, or get bored with; sex is the only thing that provides the newness, the variety, the unexpected  and the surprise , as well as the joy and ecstacy that fulfills every one of my senses.

life itself is rather the best thing to happen to me or to anyone. just being alive. but between now and death , it would be more interesting if there is more. and sex answers that very well. It is not necessary of course, but it makes life a million times more interesting with it than without.

a ordinary day in the life of a gay man living in london

13 Nov

London 2012

Just talking about my ordinary life. I daresay it is of no interest to others, but who knows it might be a record of how ordinary people live their lives in the early 21st century.

You would think life in the 21st century would be real futuristic, but it is just like any ordinary life, in the last 10yrs . Though i would expect life to be very different from now at the later half of this century.

The internet looms large. I find I tend to check my mail and go into the wordpress reader feed to see what others have posted in wordpress and also into my old blog where I have links to others that post their latest writings.

But today I thought I shall go to Chinatown to get my haircut. It is a £6 barber just near the Cambridge circus palace theatre.

you hear a lot about how expensive london is, but i have never found a £6 barber anywhere else. have u?

So I got the 88 bus, the service is so good there is hardly any waiting time and it is like a chauffeur service.

Before I got my travel pass I will walk, or lately bicycle it. But I don’t have to do that now. Haha.

I got off at Trafalgar square having gone through the best part of tourist London, passed parliament square, and had a birds eye view of all the crosses laid out on the lawn outside the Westminster cathedral and big ben ; something a lot of people have paid lots of money to come and see, and it is rather fun to see them.

A bunch of guys, 2men and a woman and a child came onto the top deck of the bus talking excitingly in their foreign language, Italian I think, exclaiming at everything, and craning their heads to look out of the bus as we passed the entrance to number 10, and ditto when we passed the horse guards in their sentry boxes astride their horses further on.

Ah what memories it brings of those days long ago when I too was like this.

The barber have two customers and I thought I had to wait, but even before I got out of my jacket the manager of the place came to do me. Her father used to run the place when I first started going there, and now she had taken over.

I had my usual, zero cut back and sides and trim the top. I let her get on with it with my eyes closed.

Near the end, I opened my eyes and saw the décor had changed . so I mentioned it to her. She said it had been like that for some time. Haha. Just goes to show how unobservant I have been. Like a guy praising his wife for the new clothes to be told she had it for ages.

The last time I was there was in june last year. And I had it cut for the naked bike ride which I was going to take part.

Now I intend to go visiting my friend in poole , dorset, and I thought I better have a haircut. I wont have another one till next june for the next naked bike ride. I mean i wont have another paid haircut. i cut my own hair usually with a electric blade. very easy to do. its just the sides that needs cutting.

Then I went to Chinatown to see what they got. I bought some bean sprouts and at another shop I got 1kg of seafood mixture for £5.69. And fresh curry leaves for £1.15. They will freeze well and are very good for Malaysian style curry. They give it a flavour that reminds me of Malaysia and my mum’s cooking.

For years I have not found any curry leaves to buy in London. But now this shop has it for sale. And fresh as well.

Then, with the frozen seafood in my bag, I thought I better quickly get a bus back before it thaws.

So that is half the day gone. it’s a nice life, with no dateline or appointment to meet. I like this kind of life. But I think it wont appeal to many people. Not a lot is happening that is why.

So many like to be busy doing things or see things, or have some sort of happening in their lives.

And they want to be excited , or inspired, or get angry with, or at least have their emotions tweeked so that they can feel they are alive and still able to care, or dislike, or hate or express an opinion about.

Not me.

I read that Uganda will pass that anti gay bill by Christmas , as a Christmas present to its electorate. If u don’t laugh u have to cry. I know it is awful that a country can be so homophobic. What are they afraid of I wonder?
But I wont be upset about it. Tough on the gays who live there. But if the majority of their fellows want to imprison all gays there, let them. After all, we are talking of democracy, and that is what the majority of them want.
Just remind me never to go there, nor trade with them or buy things from that country ever again.

I read in the papers online that abu qatada is going to be released as the high court has ruled that he is not to be sent to Jordan for trial as there is a danger that he will have a unfair trial on evidence gotten by torture.

My first reaction was , what kind of judge do we have… but then I realised it is something to be proud of in this country that no matter how we feel about him, the judges are giving a fair judgement without prejudice.

Not that abu qatada will be grateful that he is in this country that tries to give him a fair trial, even though he has been accusing it of all kinds of things ever since he was given asylum here. The irony of it .

His soul wants it and is getting it. What a strange thing. Perhaps he is innocent after all… or he shall live a very fortunate life in this life, and next reincarnation he will get hell. Haha.

Whatever it is, I have long ago stopped trying to impose my idea of justice on the things or people in this world. If they get away with it, so be it. After all, I don’t know whether they are innocent or not, so I shall not judge.

So what if someone who seems awful gets away with it. He might seem to but who knows what he will have meted out to him by nature or his soul in future in this present life or in his future reincarnation.

added 11.7.2014 abu qadata was deported to jordan and stood trial and acquited. the uk govt said he wont be allowed to return to uk. his family still lives and gets benefits in a council house in uk.

Or maybe like neale walsch in his conversation with god books says, their souls want it to experience life and so let them.

I daresay I have not expressed his ideas well, you better read his books , they are the most influential ideas that I have read and I live them as much as I can. It explains so much and is better than any of the religions we have now.

And it is not even a religion, nor philosophy. It just explains the world, and everything. Haha.

It certainly makes my life very happy.

 fresh curry leaves. £1.15

Yesterday i was browsing my supermarket for cheap bargain food, and saw they had reduced the pork and lamb liver to 19p from 77p, 24p from £1.00. so i quickly picked them up esp the pork.

Actually i picked the last two packs of pork liver and did not want the lamb liver.   then a black lady asked me if they are ok to buy , and i said yes. and she picked up two of the lamb livers. and that was when i too picked one up, and later picked another one. i went away and then thought i better  return to her to say that if she do not cook them by next day, she should freeze them. they are near their sell by date and cannot keep i said.

She asked me how to cook them. it surprised me to hear that because i tend to assume people know how to cook. she bought some organic beef too at £4, they were not reduced and she asked me how to cook those too. i told her, mainly braised to get a stew, i said. not v imaginative haha. but it is the simplest recipe i could think of. i thnk everyone can cook a stew.

then she asked me how to treat food reflux from her stomach which she is prone to. haha. funny how people ask strangers the strangest things. i could not help her with her medical problem though.

These liver are very useful and i shall have about 8meals out of those 4packs and of course i get iron from them. i freeze them.

Pork livers are more versatile, or rather their delicate flavour lends itself to lots of dishes. the lamb liver has a stronger flavour and needs camouflage with herbs and things.

There were lots of bread too on sale reduced to 10p each. so i bought 3, two wholemeal and one warburton white bread which my boyfriend likes.

i seldom buy bread at its full price anymore. I dont know whether anyone can use my experience to reduce their food bill, because not everyone lives near a supermarket that reduces foods like this. but it is  useful tip to go to supermarkets at the end of the day. Sometimes it is useful to go during the early part of the day too. as they do reduce it and if it is a popular meat, like chicken someone will have bought it before its final reduction. This happened with me. the chicken was reduced by £1. and since i wanted a chicken that day, i bought it. gone are the days when i can get a whole chicken for £1 . now it is only reduced by £1 instead.

what i want

I don’t really have anything to write about, or rather there is nothing that I feel passionate about. Haha.
I have long ago let things go their course and not feel upset or enthusiastic about things. I think that is a sign of growing up realising that things will happen and it does not matter. Things we feel so passionate about in our younger days are now not that important any more. So also with the things all around us that people feel so incensed about or so passionate about, they too will run their course and be relegated to nothing and we shall all scratch our heads and ask ourselves what was all that passion about?
I am sure some of you will think ‘how sad, that he has let himself go like that. To lose passion is to give up on life’.  I used to think like that too, but I found it makes my life rather depressing, because I find that I could not do anything about things that I have such a passion for. Of course, u might argue that is the thing, it is not the result but the striving to achieve it that is what makes having passion or goals so worthwhile. I disagree. I think u can make yourself really depressed if u set goals and cannot achieve them. Much as u would like to console yourself that it is ok, the doing is what counts. It does not.
I wonder if all those people who are depressed are people who are high achievers and who come to realise that they will never achieve their goals.
Anyway I was looking at my life now and realise that it has become quite a routine with nothing much going on. I like it.
Though now and then, I would like some excitement, but usually something ’exciting’  does happen,  and then I wish it had not.
it is something quite horrible and I wish my life was not that exciting, and it goes back to normal and plain, and I am glad of it. Haha.
Occasional excitements like that make me realise that even though sometimes I wish my life is more exciting, in the end, I am glad I don’t really have an exciting life. It is so tiring, an exciting life. don’t u think?
I am careful what I wish, as I know I will get it. And then I will wish I haven’t.
What I would like is to have some friends to visit and have sex with them. So I am working towards finding such guys. I have two guys already lined up, oh hang on  3… I forgot I already have a sex buddy for like 5yrs or more. I think 3 is a goodish number for regular sex buddies but I guess if there are more, I shall cultivate them, even though I might find I got more than I can handle. Haha.
And of course there is the perennial favourite activity, group orgies with lots of guys.
I know it is simple pleasures (by which I mean sex with guys) like that that makes life worth living. Haha.
Another one is food. I found a blog giving out a recipe for char sui, made in a wok.
Usually I make char sui in the grill or in the oven, but this method of just using the wok sounds like a good one. The grill method is the quickest way of doing it, and do not involve a lot of messing about. But I think it uses up a lot of electricity.
The oven is the most convenient way. Just chuck it in and set the timer and that is it. Haha.
But cooking is a solitary pleasure. Whilst sex with others is not.
Reading is another pastime I like, but again it is a solitary pleasure.
Sex with others is the best. That is why I am not including masturbation on your own … because that is a solitary pleasure. Unless u include it as part of sex play with others but of course if u do, than it is not a solitary pleasure now would it?
