ordinary life

29 May

london 12.45pm, friday 2015

when i woke up this morning at about 6am, the sky was blue and i thought the weather forecast for today must be wrong, as it said it will rain. but when i got out of the library, (11am) it was raining.

i had thought of going to brixton to get some ginger, and to stop off at the lidl’s on the way back to get a croissant…they are 29p each, the cheapest in town;  croissants always make me associate it with france. but i changed my mind and took the bus back to my flat instead. and realised i was hungry and made myself 2fried eggs and toast with peanut butter and jam and coffee.

added 5pm i watched a peter sellers inspector clousseau film on tv, but was so sleepy i could not see it to the end, (it was not interesting enough to stop me from being sleepy) so i took a nap … slept for about 2hrs. woke up at 2.40pm and saw the rain had gone, so found out from the london transport website that a 88 is due 5mins, so caught that and went to brixton, changing to bus no 2.

i bought ginger (which is the main reason why i go there); and small tomatoes, excellent for salad, 50p each pack. and caught the bus no 2 back. i toyed with the idea of stopping off at the lidl in stockwell, but decided to stay on the bus number 2 and get back instead of buying the croissant.

the whole trip to and from brixton including buying the stuff took about 1.5hrs. very pleasant, and i missed the rain too, it came and went when i was on the bus coming back. in the past i would cycle there, though with it raining of and on like this, i wont be doing it ; but now i got a free bus pass, i go everywhere on public transport, mainly buses, even though i can take the tube free. there seem to be a permanent job for bus drivers.

added. 7.05pm. the newspapers were full of the usa arresting some officials of uefa, who run the champions league cup. it began in 1992, and is making a lot of money because it is the most watched in the world. so as u can imagine with all that money coming in from the tv rights, everything is ripe for corruption. there were calls from the british newspapers for sepp blatter to not run for president for the 5th time, but i read here that he had won. what i find surprising is the usa bringing in the accused. why isn’t europe and its laws bringing in these arrests?

added 31.5.15 found out why the usa is doing it, it is their IRS, inland revenue, that is pursuing it; so it is their tax man wanting his cut. haha. ah well, i should have known. no one bothers with the corruption, and bribetaking, it is just that it pay no tax and that cannot be allowed. too right, right? haha.

the british have been complaining about uefa and how corrupt it is, but never do anything, it takes the americans to do something about it. and u have to ask yourself why if blatter is as bad as they make out , does he get reelected all the time… no use saying everyone of those asian, arabic, and african members are on the take … blatter must be doing something right. he is not accused of corruption, which is really saying a lot of good about him, someone who can resist the temptation to line his pocket in the face of all that wall of money … maybe that is why they re -elect him. the west dont like him and uefa of course as they have been able to screw the west for a great deal of money making the tv rights so expensive and making the west must own those rights or their own business will collapse… they know well that their advertisers will leave if they lose the rights to show the matches… and they can make even more money charging their advertisers, even after paying billions for the tv rights. as for corruption, well, if a country wants to pay you 100s of millions for them to host the games, why not take the money right??? haha. no one suffers really. the money is chicken feed to these rich countries… and ok uk cannot win to host it, but so what haha. it might be a favour to the uk, they dont have to spend so much money building the stadiums and what not. perhaps my view is naive, and it is a terrible thing that they are taking money from people who have too much of it in the first place to do something as unnneccesary as a football match. hehe. to me it is all a lot of fuss about nothing. and in the end we all get to see great football being played. so that’s all right then. right? haha.

if you are wondering just how much money is in there… here is the link.

added 30.5.15  here is the details of those who are accused and why. cayman island officials it seems linking to bribes paid by an american company via third parties. no tax paid , obviously and why IRS is interested..

guess what! they mentioned it as the champions league, i have never heard of it, and wondering how come if it is so big as they keep saying, that i have not heard of it, until recently i saw a article which mentioned it as the world cup… feck it , so that is what it is called. everyone have heard of the world cup!! damn and blast these football people for giving two names to their cups. cups to them!!!
