i just read in a egyptian report that mentioned 2 cases of coronavirus returning to france from a tour group but what surprised me was to read that

France has also been witnessing a seasonal flu since November, leaving thousands sick. Since the start of the flu season, 530 people have been admitted to intensive care and 44 people have died.

that is amazing , such a large number infected and it did not take any attention, just because it is labelled as flu.

How many people have died from the flu in 2020?

So far, 10,000 people have died and 180,000 people have been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to preliminary estimates from the CDC.31 Jan 2020. quoted from google search

10,000 died from flu so far (presumably these figures are from USA)and it is only february. and we dont hear of it in the news at all. and yet we panic over coronavirus. what is the deaths from flu worldwide then?

Flu season typically falls sometime between the start of fall and the end of spring. For the past three decades, flu activity has peaked at some point between the months of October and February but always tapers off by April.

this link compares flu with coronavirus . looks to me like we know flu is seasonal and goes away after spring each year. and people got used to it.

corona is new so they do not know if it will mimic flu and naturally go away after spring….if it does , it can be considered a variant of flu.
